Faso flip-flops his way to 1-on-1 debates
Faso has been hiding from his constituents for more than a year and a half. He doesn’t hold town halls, doesn’t release a public schedule and didn’t want to participate in 1-on-1 debates to discuss real issues.
After refusing a debate invitation from WMHT, a local public broadcasting station, Faso has reversed his position and will now appear at a debate with Delgado on October 19th, to be aired live at 1 p.m. WSKG radio will also air it live.
“Antonio looks forward to debating the issues with John Faso,” said Delgado for Congress campaign manager Allyson Marcus. “This includes discussing important issues like why the Congressman voted to take healthcare away from his own constituents, his misrepresentation of the upstate New York economy as ‘booming’ and his continued support for big corporations over the interests of our working and middle class families.”
Delgado will be holding 11 public town halls, one in each county in NY-19, before the election and is committed to engaging with people all across the district. The next town hall will be on October 6 in Sullivan County.
