New York State Nurses Association Endorses Antonio Delgado

Today, we are proud to announce that New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) has endorsed Antonio Delgado for Congress in in New York’s 19th congressional district.

“There is so much at stake in this November’s elections,” said Tara L. Martin, State Political Director of NYSNA. “The future of healthcare and taxes and even the middle class hangs in the balance and that’s why NYSNA is proud to endorse Antonio Delgado for Congress in the 19th district, representing parts of the Hudson Valley and Catskill region.”

“I am very proud to be endorsed by NYSNA,” said Delgado. “I’ve heard from nurses here in our district about the challenges they face while working in our homes and hospitals, from being understaffed during grueling shifts to lacking critical resources, nurses can often be made to feel over-worked and under-valued. I will fight to protect and strengthen unions like NYSNA to ensure nurses have job security, truly livable wages and good benefits. Nurses deserve an immense amount of gratitude for tirelessly providing us all with quality care. I am committed to achieving both quality and affordable healthcare for everyone and look forward to working with NYSNA.”

The New York State Nurses Association is a union of 42,000 frontline nurses and is New York state’s largest union and professional association for registered nurses.
