Faso Leans on Party Leader to Explain Healthcare Vote
“He makes our majority work.”
That’s how Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan described John Faso during their joint interview in Albany yesterday. Faso claims to be bipartisan, yet votes with the current Administration 90% of the time. Ryan knows he can count on Faso to vote the party-line, even if it means putting corporate donors before constituents.
Faso is having such a hard time explaining his bad votes on healthcare that he is bringing his boss along to help him out in media interviews.
We get it. It’s tough to try and explain why you voted to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions, make healthcare more expensive for seniors, and raise premiums and deductibles. That’s why when he’s not showing up to fundraisers in New York City with Vice President Pence or Albany with Speaker Ryan, he’s hiding from his constituents.
